HOW TO
Apply For A Postdoc Position
2-day online course
Overview
This two-day course supports you in applying successfully for a post-doc position or teaching/research position at the career-entry level. If you are having trouble with the mechanics of applying for an academic position, unsure what to submit or how to prepare for a job interview/offer, this is the course for you. You work with your own application material and go through the application process for a currently existing job opening in your field. We focus on preparing the written application material for an existing position you’d like to apply for.
You will learn how to write a compelling cover letter, how pitch your CV exactly so that it matches the job openings which interest you, and how to prepare for job interviews. We show you where to find the best job openings and take you through the final stages of negotiating your contract. You will also learn how to react when offered a position and what to discuss with your future employer in order to get your career off to a good start!
